Base colours for sashes (bordeaux), blackened plates (medium grey), scabbards (red brown), grey cap (light grey) and helmets (silver).

Colore di base per le sciarpe (bordeaux), le corazze annerite (grigio medio), i foderi delle sciabole ( marrone rossastro), il cappello grigio (grigio chiaro) e gli elmi (argento).

ECW cavalry, plastic 28mm. A painting guide by our Cioporeporter, Part I

This time we' ll paint an ECW cavalry unit, 28mm, miniatures by Warlord.

After three commissions of 20mm Prussian napoleonics we just needed something for our collection.
We' re preparing an army for the new rules for the period by the Impetus author.

The rules are Baroque and will be published in October...maybe...
Our Cioporeporter, the yellow one, will show you the various assembling and painting steps...

Questa volta dipingeremo un' unità di cavalleria per la Guerra Civile Inglese,
miniature in plastica in 28mm della Warlord.

Dopo tre eserciti in 20mm di Prussiani napoleonici dipinti su commissione avevamo proprio bisogno di "rompere" il trend e dipingere qualcosa per la nostra collezione.

Stiamo preparando un esercito per le nuove regole sul periodo scritte dall' autore di Impetus.

Le regole si chiamano Baroque e saranno pubblicate in Ottobre...forse...
Il nostro Cioporeporter, quello giallo, vi mostrerà i vari passaggi...


 

Starting to assemble the first 6 cavalrymen...

Iniziamo a montare i primi 6 cavalieri.

 

White primer.

Primer bianco.

Base colours for horses.

Colore base per i cavalli.

Second colour for brown horses and washing for the others.
Base colour, kaki drab, for the cavalrymen.

Secondo colore per i cavalli marrone e washing per gli altri.
Colore base, un kaki, per i cavalieri.

 

Different views with the second lighter colour, a yellow ochre.

Viste differenti con il secondo colore, più chiaro, un giallo ocra.

 

 

Second layer fot the hats.

Secondo strato per i cappelli.

Light brown hair and first layer for faces.

African Chief...by Luisa...

An exotic topic, an "African" chief and his throne!

Luisa has painted this 28mm miniatures in several shades of brown, ochre and yellow.

She also did green the throne with a small amount of white and red.

Tusks and skulls with four layer of drybrush.

Only a thing...but we don' t have an African army...

Un soggetto esotico, un capo africano ed il suo trono!

Luisa ha dipinto questa miniatura in 28mm con diverse tonalità di marone, ocra e giallo.

Il trono è dipinto con diverse tonalità di verde con alcune decorzioni in bianco e rosso.

Zanne e crani hanno avuto quattro strati di drybrush.

Solo una cosa...ma noi non abbiamo un esercito africano...

DAK, plastic 20mm

An update with a commission work, 20mm plastic DAK, for a wargamer, 

better a collector of plastic WWII armies...

DAK colour from light honey and a dark washing.

Un aggiornamento con un lavoro su commissione per un wargamer, 

o meglio un collezionista di eserciti WWII in plastica...

Il colore DAK è ottunuto da un colore miele chiaro e successivamente con un washing scuro.

Other two bases for our Impetus-Basic Impetus Sassanid army.

Two bases of medium cavalry, or Asvaran.

Horses nearly completed.

Now a dilemma. To complete the Basic Impetus army we' ll need another base,

So the question is: other Asvaran or an elephant base?

Altre due basi per il nostro esercito Sassanide per Impetus e Basic Impetus.

Due basi di cavalleria media, o Asvaran.

I cavalli sono quasi terminati.

Ora un dilemma. Per completare l' esercito per Basic Impetus è necessaria un altra unità.

La domanda è questa: un' altra unità di Asvaran oppure una di elefanti?
